The Skullerz 8963 Class E Full Brim Safety Helmet is a Type 2 Safety Helmet with a 6-point suspension and an EPS foam interior halo for all-around impact protection. This helmet provides heavy-duty, yet lightweight and comfortable head protection designed to shield the front, back, top and sides of the head from falls, dropped objects or bumping into stationary objects. Compared to 4-point suspension systems, the 6-point suspension better disperses the force of an impact. The compact helmet design improves visibility, and an adjustable chin strap ensures the helmet remains secure to the wearer's head upon impact or sudden movement such as a slip, trip or fall. The safety helmet meets ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019), Type 2, Class E requirements and has been tested in both high and low temperature. The suspension and shell design of this helmet provides added side, front and back protection. A padded, breathable and antimicrobial brushed polyester sweatband and top pad lines the sides, forehead and top interior, and is removable for easy replacement. The ventilated, open frame design makes for a cooler safety helmet by releasing heat buildup and allowing air to circulate-reducing perspiration in hot and humid working environments. One of the biggest challenges for workers is how to attach lights to a hard hat in a way that eliminates the need to adjust and fuss with accessories. This safety helmet includes front and rear slots for secure attachment of ergodyne® Skullerz Hard Hat Headlamps and Fans (sold separately). For jobs where increased eye and hearing protection is needed, side built-in slots accept earmuffs and face shields. Ideal for construction and utility job sites, oil and gas, road work, forestry, mining and general site work.
